***Official Players Ball Thread ? Thank you?s & Reviews (PICS)**
Huge thanks to all of the sponsors for helping the Players Ball pull off 2 outstanding events, back to back nights during Internext. I'd like to thank first the official sponsor list for the 2007 Internext Players Balls, you all made this happen:
PussyCash & SexSearch as the main sponsors
CECASH, XRATEDBUCKS & KBEECHCONTENT as the 2nd level main sponsors
The Big Woody Awards sponsored by ImLive
Go Go Dancers were sponsored by CECASH (best Go Go dancers ever at a webmaster party)
Our co-sponsors are:
LegendaryLars, WebmasterCentral, Phatservers, OC3networks, Xflix, InterClimax, AVNonline, NaughtyBank, CapitalBucks, Adult.com and Intabill.
OK, and now my own review, then I?d like to hear about your experiences.
Every year, I set a goal. How can I top the Snoop Dogg Players Ball back in 2001? This is the 9th year we?ve been doing Players Balls, we have done 11 Vegas Players Balls that cater to Internext/IA2000 since the beginning. I?ve had the honor to work with most of my favorite artists of all time, which most people will never get the opportunity to do in a lifetime. Some of the biggest names that come to mind off the top of my head are:
Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Xzibit, Naughty By Nature, Digital Underground, Too $hort, Slick Rick, Doug E Fresh, former Sublime members group Long Beach Dub Allstars and now Ice Cube.
So did I reach my goal of topping the Snoop Dogg Players Ball? Yes I did. I?ve decided that I can never top something when reaching a certain level, every party takes own it?s own identity and makes it difficult to say when it?s better, but I can say this party was on that same level as the Snoop Dogg Players Ball. In many ways it?s better being that this venue is more intimate and designed for the VIP?s.
It all starts with the venue. We?ve found a Players Ball home in Vegas, Empire Ballroom. Last year they did a great job including letting people into the venue as fast as possible. This past week, I threw 3 Players Balls there, 2 for Internext and 1 for AEE. Each night, the venue was perfect. No lines, perfect VIP hosts and security guys. This was an issue we have had for years before Empire Ballroom, problem has been solved. We didn?t even need a VIP line because we didn?t have a line at all. Everyone got the quick VIP entrance.
Players Ball 1 ? AEE Show on January 12th
The most packed out of all 3 nights, about 2000 people in attendance. The crowd was a nice mix of adult video companies, pornstars and celebs. XFANZ co-produced this event with me and they did an excellent job. Too $hort performed with DJ Evan, hotties were on the stage riding the stripper pole and even Chuck Liddell was my personal guest sitting our VIP area, so I let him touch my dick, we gave him a Big Woody Award. The crowd went nuts! DJ Evan (from XVN and XPAYS) totally held it down all night and even YTCracker came out to perform his new internet hit single.
Players Ball 2 ? First night of Internext
Had a great turn out, Too $hort kicked ass! CECASH played their new Too $hort promo right before Too $hort hit the stage, the crowd loved it. Big Woody?s were in effect, Raven Riley got the big dick alright. Go Go dancers really shined, they were all dime pieces. Everyone got inside fast and easy, VIP area was truly a VIP area. DJ Evan was the backbone of the party, played a range of classic hip hop, dancehall reggae, west coast hip hop and trance. Again, the Go Go dancers made the music even better.
Players Ball 3 ? Second night of Internext
Ice Cube came out fired up and kept our crowd into his performance for over an hour! Steve Lightspeed, Lensman, PussyCash, MPA3 and Lars all won Big Woody Awards. Eddy P from the Bay and Stacee Adamz opened up for Ice Cube, nice blend of west coast rap. One day you will all hear of them, especially Stacee Adamz. Then again, most of you didn?t know Xzibit when we had him perform. DJ Evan was hot again, but man, Ice Cube made a special set list just for the Players Ball.
Again, everything went pretty smooth with the admission into the party, the service was great, the security was on it, the venue had a warmth and cool vibe. I couldn?t ask for a better 3 nights of Players Balls. Will I ever do 3 of them again within the same week? Probably not.
Ice Cube really had a great time and told my agent that he wants to do more of these Players Balls for us. They even called the next day to thank us again. Cube doesn?t need to take private shows like this, but he chose to do this at a great price and we didn?t let him down. He told me back stage he?s been hearing about our Ball for a while know. He said that Snoop and Short talk about it all the time with him, so he was excited to come out.
To my pimp partner and brother, KB, damn cuz, you looked good and held it down again. Thanks for all the support and efforts in getting people their VIP passes. Most of all thanks for sharing in the excitement through the whole thing.
To my other brotha from anotha mutha, J$tyle$ - You always got my back at these Players Balls and at times it can really save my ass. Not only did you come back on stage to make the difference, you handled some of the behind the scenes issues.
AaronM, J$tyle$ and everyone else that had a camera, thank you for documenting history. When the night is over, all you have are memories, pics and videos. Now these Players Balls will live on the web forever.
Alien, thanks for the years of great design work, the Players Ball logo got some serious views over the past week. Always appreciated.
The Gnomes, thanks for also having my back every year.
AVN Online ? Yeah sure, why not. Thanks for making the Players Ball feel welcome at Internext this year. What a difference a year makes huh?
FM ? Every year you come through for the Players Ball, every year we have fun doing it. And thanks for helping pave the way for the rest of my sponsors. CECASH is back on top again and the Too $hort promo is sick!
XFANZ ? I enjoyed blowing up the AEE with you! The hype and promotional support, red carpet, the press and the whole XFANZ team was great!
I have many others to thank but this last one is my biggest thank you?
DJ EVAN ? You played for over 10 hours, 3 nights within 5 days. You flew to Vegas and back, then Vegas and back. The crowd loved the music all 3 nights! This is one of the things that can make or break an event like the Players Ball and every time you come and bring your best sets. I couldn?t be as comfortable with KB on that stage without my own personal DJ. You?ve had the chance to work with the biggest names in rap over the years and your just a webmaster business man first (XVN & XPAYS). I know you put lot?s of effort both physically and financially into making sure these webmasters have a great experience. And those Go Go dancers made you look like Funk Master Flexowitz. Even though you get treated like the offensive lineman, we all dance to your beat.
Normally I don?t post this long and I hardly ever start big thank you threads after shows. But after 9 years of organizing and hustling up the money to do these Players Balls, I figured it?s time I show some serious love to everyone who makes this event happen. GFY has always been the most valuable promotional tool for me when I need to get the Players Ball hype going, thanks GFY!
OK, let?s see some pics and let?s hear about your Players Ball experience. Was the Ice Cube night as insane as I think it was? Did it really happen?
