Ah so I suppose we should also go after attorneys that defend murderers, and child molesters, and anyone else that we as a society don't like.
We have an adversarial justice system in this country, and if people didn't step up to defend those accused of crimes, whether they are in fact guilty or not, that system would quickly fall apart.
Our justice system is far from perfect, but it's one of the things that separates us from countries like Afghanistan and Iraq. Exactly those we accuse of being uncivilized and inhumane.
