I like a good debate…it clears the cob webs… keeps us on our toes and requires people to see things from another perspective… but you have gone far beyond articulate fact finding and now you are acting like an entitled asshole. It went from an inquiry to an attack of a very well respected man who is held in very high regard among the people in the industry who are the pioneers, innovators, and market share leaders.

As someone who has business dealings with Xbiz I was also curious to see where this would lead but then it suddenly turned into a personal attack on Alec Helmy for no reason…even after he answered the question with a very clear “no”. At this point you look like a conspiracy theorist who is upset because your accusations were point blank refuted by the source himself.

You then question the mans integrity after he has gone on public record as a non supporter and you’re upset because the question was not answered in the manner in which you wanted it answered?

WTF? You got what you were looking for... for the life of me I cannot understand what it is you want from this man…other than to be an antagonistic, disrespectful, and just general loud mouth trying to look like some cool bad ass.

I have no idea how long you have been in this industry... I do not have any idea what was carried over from other boards... I do know I have known this man, his wife, brother and senior staff members for years and he has yet to demonstrate to me, or the peer group that I associate myself with in this community, to be a liar or anything other than one of the most straight up determined and successful entrepreneurs who has achieved his success through hard work, dedication, creativity, and ingenuity. I remember when Alec was a little guy and he has not changed how he deals with people what so ever.

The ONLY reason I am posting this is BEACAUSE he is such a stand up person in this industry. He does not deserve this malicious attack. In the beginning I can see that as a leading trade publication you want to know if they are supporting something that could be damaging to the greater good and well being of the hard working webmaster.

Now you are saying “Say pretty please with sugar on top” and it is completely out of line.

I am disappointed. It is disappointing to see someone you thought was bright and had worthwhile things to say and seemed like a genuine cool guy… albeit observing from a distance over the years… and then to see the kind of behavior you have exhibited this week is just disappointing…utterly embarrassing for you and disappointing.

The man went on record...that means you wait and see what happens now before you continue to go after someone after they were man enough to step up and address the issue.
