I'm using 3.5.5 which actually has a default setting for files and another for folders. Strange that yours doesn't have that as you would typically set these differently.

oh maybe the problem would be on my server settings as well? im not surebut after i migrate my dedi to natnet it happed i'll ask them about this..
as for the default setting for files. its strange i only have those listed in my above post.
