Man.. you are lucky... i have a friend that had the same thing happen but the dentist just filled his tooth thinking it didn't really need a canal. It trapped the infection which moved into his blood stream.. then into his brain. He woke up with his right hand tingling, went back to sleep thinking he just slept on it wrong. Woke up a bit later his whole arm was numb, still didn't think it was a big deal. Woke up in the morning with his entire right side paralyzed. took him years of therapy to get to about 60%. If you have an infected tooth and it is on the upper left side of your mouth be extremely careful and see a dentist immediately. the blood flows from the left side of your face straight up to the brain and takes whatever bacteria with it.
