Make sure you are not watching it with contrast at 100% and brightness up high. That will make the burn-in happen quicker. Often sets will come from the factory set on the "dynamic" setting, or whatever they happen to call it, which will have those settings way too high. Best to try to calibrate it with a calibration DVD, or just set it to "movie" mode.
