About email hosting, from their control panel (more on my icq):
# Addresses
Go here to create (and edit) email addresses at your domains! You can choose to have them deliver to a mailbox at DreamHost, forward to another email address, or both! From here you can also set and change mailbox disk storage limits and inbox housekeeping preferences.
# Webmail
The Webmail sub-tab allows you to set your DreamHost Webmail preferences for all your domains. You can disable webmail, rename the webmail url, and customize the login image to match your own site! Of course, you can also log in to webmail from this sub-tab.
# Filters and Spam
Mail filters allow you to automatically sort your incoming mail into various folders based on various rules that you specify. If you've found yourself getting overwhelmed with the volume of mail that you receive, filters are a good way to get everything sorted!
# Autoresponders
Autoresponders let you configure an email "robot" that automatically responds to email sent to a particular email address (alias) with a generic message. The original message still gets delivered in the regular fashion (to whatever target the alias defines, usually a mailbox).
# Announcement Lists
The Mailing List sub-tab lets you manage lists of email addresses and send them all email at once with an easy to use form. Keep your visitors up to date on the latest events on your site with ease.
# Discussion Lists
Discussion lists are Mailman email lists which allow two-way discussion among all the members. You can configure lots of options like moderator approval, posting only by subscribers, archival options, and more! Every DreamHost plan gets unlimited Discussion lists, though we do reserve the right in the future to possibly levy extra usage fees for any particularly heavy discussion lists!
# Junk Filter
From here you can turn on our semi-awesome anti-spam and virus email filter for your whole domain! Note, to enable this you must not have a "catch-all" email address set up for that domain.
# MX Record
The MX Record sub-tab allows access to web-based email services provided by BigMailBox and others. For example, you can forward email sent to your domain to another mail server.
