Much easier to sleep at night as well. I guess having that separate room, and door makes that jedi mind trick on myself work easier. When I had a roommate and everything was in my bedroom years ago. It was hard to get things done with TV and distractions everywhere.

HAHA, well if you really understood my house or hell me it may may some since.
My living room has the following in it:
Kitchen table.
Two bookshelves.
Grandfather clock.
Three kitchen table chairs.
A compact stereo.
And my monster desk.
No couch, no TV, hardly anything. My house is fairly small as I have never needed to much space and hell its paid for. It really only has a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms. Never have many guests so no reason for a couch or TV in living room. Hell I wouldnt even have chairs if it wasnt for the fact that my fiance needs somewhere to sit.
