When I started getting back in to shape, I kept an actual diary of all the things I ate each day. After a few weeks of checking the various fat, protein, carb and caloric value of foods I got a much better handle on what I was eating. I was surprised how much I was actually eating, without even thinking about it really.
lol yeah i know.
that diary thing works well in so many different situations.
i know a bunch of people who say that they're sooo busy and they have no time for anything. i always think to myself, if they wrote down exactly what they did in a day they'd realize that if they actually scheduled their life they would have a lot more time than they think.
