Heh. I admire anybody that is willing to do something they don't have to in order to help somebody else. If people want to hate for that, then hate away.
A while back some guy saved another persons life on a New York rail, damn near killing himself. Some call that stupid, I call it honorable. If more people were willing to do the little things like that, this world just may be a better place. Instead, so many would rather crawl back into their hole and be "safe", all the while complaining about everything thats going on around them.
