Same answer as always for this sort of thing:
Make a list of the work you do or woudl do with your laptop. Consider everything, from updating a site when you are on the road to mail, playing music, programming... whatever it is, make a list WITHOUT CONSIDERING A COMPUTER... just make the list.
Once you have the list, check the Mac notebook you were considering. Click off everything you can do that is on your list. At the bottom, write down the price.
Then do the same with a comparable windows based laptop. click down the list, and put the price.
At the end of the day, the answer should be obvious. If both do the same, take whichever turns you on.
