Why not become an opensrs reseller yourself? It's as easy as signing and returning the agreement form and you'll get the wholesale rate. You don't even need to implement the API - simply use the reseller interface. I've been a reseller for over a year and haven't actually 're-sold' any domains - just registered my own.
