Which is a damn shame, considering their potential. But there is hardly a day goes by when at least one feed which usually works, doesn't. Sometimes all that happens is the feed isn't read in at all and that is fine. But more often than not, my site(s) get(s) broken.
If sponsors cannot be relied upon to check that every addition is valid, the only real answer is to queue the feeds and check them before allowing new content to be posted. But that can involve some serious time if you are using multiple feeds across several sites and defeats at least part of the advantage of this form of content delivery.

which is why I can't stress enough to get some professional rss software like rsstoblog or autoblogger pro, if you are serious about blogging and rss, then you need something more than feedwordpress or wp-autoblog, and once you have something professional, then you just don't have to worry about shit like you mentioned above
