Ohh.. and here is an analogy to help you see my point.
Back in 1996 when you turned on your computer it took about 3 to 5 minutes to boot. So you went and got a cup of coffee or some shit. You expected this time limit and you planned for it. Turn on the computer FIRST, then go "multi-task" by doing something else in the meantime.
In 2007 when I turn on my computer it is ready in 40 seconds. If I leave it on it is ready in 5 seconds. When I use a Photoshop filter on a large image it takes seconds, not minutes like 1996 did for the same task.
My computer has 2 CPUs. It has a 800Mhz front side bus. It has all sorts of faster shit in it. Things that used to take minutes or had a noticeable lag time no longer do.
My stats in 2007 should be the same.
I wanted to see where my sales came from since the beginning of the year. It took over a minute to show me the number of sales, then when I click on a specific affiliate it takes a few seconds to show me their data. Breaking down by URL's takes a lot of time.
All this adds up quick and pretty soon I am looking at 15 minutes to do something that should have taken 2.
