BenchMark Results: My New Toy - Core2 Extreme Quad

Since a lot of people were interested in new machines(computers) after seeing my first post... I am posting my benchmark results here.

I used Everest Ultimate 3.5 - A consumer level benchmark program that tests the Actual Performance of your machine (unlike other programs that only read the specs as stated by the device)

You can get Everest here http://www.lavalys.com/ and using this cupon code UETRIAL25 you can get it for about $22 USD.

I've tweaked the machine out as far as I can using STOCK Voltages. !!! If you exceed stock(spec) voltages you can physically damage components. !!!.

I'm far from an expert on Overclocking... but it is my opinion that you can only damage components if you exceed specified voltages and/or exceed specified operating temperatures.

Again, I am NOT an expert - anything you do is At Your Own RISK!!!

My Stock CPU Clock Speed came in at 2.67. Apparently the Extreme Chips are actually the same chips as the Standard 2.6 and 2.4. During the manufacturing process... some chips come out better then others.

They are tested and then classified with the best chips going to the extreme series and the top level chips probably going to Big Wigs at Intel and out to 3rd party test publications that will talk a lot of good shit about them in articles.

I managed to achieve a clock speed of 3.15 - anything higher and the machine would become unstable and shutdown/reboot. Runs Rock Solid at 3.15 All encoding apps... everything runs fine.

Other reviews have this chip up as high as 3.55 and thats where the QX6700 REALLY Smoked the other chips (by more then double in some cases).
However, they also ran their core voltage up to 1.5 which is too dangerous for me. Intel will know if you burn the chip up from overclocking.

Below are 3 screenshots of the reports Everest produces... The first 2 are CPU Related and the last is the Memory performance. No record breaking results here but I am happy that my results came in as expected.
