Why they are not more readily attacked by the government (unless they start acting up like at Ruby Ridge, Michigan, and Montana) the same document that allows people to call themselves, and act like, a militia... is also the same document the Right hugs onto while protecting gun ownership.
Once they say the militia cannot exist because its some outdated idea, then guns are gonna be played with. And republicans like guns. Not gonna happen.
Dont play with the constitution. They have every right to exist. I wish they were larger and more powerful. And I believe it was Thomas Jefferson that said "If government fear the people, that is Liberty; if the people fear the government, that is Tyranny".
