Anybody use window tint to keep out heat at home?
The afternoon sun hits my bedroom and is BRUTAL from about 3-7PM. The AC really pumps in the summer, probably have to get it running again soon.
Thought some type of window tint may be an option to keep out some of the UV/heat rays. I've been looking around online and have found some interesting things but would love to hear from others if a tint would help much and if it saves on the electric bill at all.
Summer electric is about $250, opposed to spring electric being about $150. Anything to cut into that would be a cool additional feature of the tint.
I think MrPheer tried this? Could be wrong.
