I rented a beach house several years ago that had this - it SEEMED to work. It was still hot up in the loft (which of course, was the MBR) but now that I have a house that's close to the same floor plan, I understand why. They had an entire wall of windows that faced east so it could be BRUTAL during early day in the summer.
Make sure you get something that's easily removable: saw a house getting tint taken off once and the tinting was in shreds with pieces that I'm not sure they EVER got off.
