I think he is dead wrong.
traffic doesnt make anything successful.
I could would rather have 2k good hits, than 300k hitbot hits which make up atleast 40% of tgp traffic anyways.
but my point is, traffic is just a piece of the puzzle.
its processor, content, webmaster relations, design, etc..
those of you who get hard dicks on large amounts of traffic, are not looking at the big picture.
