While RRRED has some excellent points regarding one perspective; one thing you have to keep in mind is what kind of animal GFY is.
You've read the board. It's like News of the Weird mixed with People magazine and all the other junk they have in the aisles at the grocery store.
It's necessary for people to be in public positions in order to get a program on everyone's minds and tongues. As a result, you get a bit of politicizing not only in relations but in PR situations.
There's already key elements of politics in this industry, we all know that. Grandstanding, defamation, misinformation, ambiguation, rivalries, scandals and I'd even go so far to say undefined "parties".
This is just one more element. It's not going to change man, just the way the industry has become. And for the most part it's harmless. Annoying? Some people think so - but we're a community who *for the most part* keep ourselves clean of bullshit, even if it takes some time.
