I'm guilty of this myself although mostly by accident. I attended a show with Steve Lightspeed and Tanker, both of whom knew everyone there. I felt like a "no one" and truthfully no one was intersted in talking to me. I ended up in a hot tub with one of AaronM's models as a way of "introducing myself" to everyone there. What I failed to notice is that nearly everyone, including JFK, had a camera there. The next morning the pictures were all over GFY. (My wasn't too pleased with me and we now have a "no nudity" policy at shows.)
But you failed to mention one thing LAJ that really bugs me about branding ourselves in our industry - the fact that some people have the same name as the program they work for. (Platinum Becky comes to mind here!) It might help at first when a someone new to our industry when they associate themselves with their company name which is "stronger" than their name, but a year on down the road they've changed companies and have lost their identity.
I'll look forward to seeing you in Phoenix LAJ.
