They're working on Afghanistan. Slowly but surely. A little too slow, but there are only a few million other factors involved. Hell we could bomb the shit out of the place tomorrow even more so... and what would that do? Fuel more radical thinking.

Pakistan is just plain messy. Tribal regions thriving with militant training and radical thinking. Can't attack them. Pakistan claims they're helping, and they are, but they could do more like everyone. Though they also have their own internal political framework to consider. They can't just start rooting out villages without fallout.

OBL is one guy. He dies, someone will replace him. What's more important, in my opinion, is breaking up the framework. And thats happening where possible.

Hell even the Iraqi Sunnis are getting pissed off. Al qaeda in Iraq is fighting with tribal Iraqi Sunnis. Now thats pretty crazy.
