Better to get the more inexpensive US version of course. And it's always cheaper to upgrade if you have a qualifying previous version. Otherwise if you attend school or can provide a U.S. student i.d. card (or reasonable facsimile thereof, he he) showing that you attend University you can often save a lot of money that way.

I was taking language courses at a local college a couple of years ago and I qualified to save half price on Photoshop CS2 with the student discount available in many online stores.
