Ok im gonna say something i prob shouldnt but..

I kinda laughed a bit reading your post.

Let me elaborate..

First off , i am a pet lover , i have dogs and cats and other such animals , and have had some pass away over the years and yes i even shed a tear or 2

SO while in some sense im laughing at the irratinality of crying over a pet when theres much worse things going on in the world.. in another sense im laughing because i know how you feel and have been there before ( with perhap a tad less crying ), so in essence im laughing at my own irrationality..

Now lets cheer you up.. Pets are much like people, remeber those times you were upset and your dog sensed you were upset and snuggled next to you.. somehow sensing you were upset and needing comfort ? well your dog isnt there anymore to do that and i dont think would appreciate the fact your alone and crying and he/she cant do anything about it... I'm sure animals like people would like to be rembered for the happy times and would like to know your ok and happy too , not upset...

Imagine death as like being trapped behing 1 way glass. if your dog is looking through that glass they wouldnt want you to be upset or to forget either , they would want you to be proud and strong , and everything they looked up to you in life, so instead of hurting, make it a point to remember proudly..

hope that doesnt sound too sappy or offensive...
