Anyways, as for the age to be able to perform and sign a release (ignoring the age of consent for a moment)...
WHY is 18 seemingly the standard? Why not 16? Why not 21? Is it because you're legally allowed to vote at 18, thus giving you that right? Then why can't you drink until 21? Why can you drive a car at 16? Who comes up with the legal ages and why are they set as they are?
"I" believe that a model is best served to wait until they're 21 to shoot adult material. Those 3 extra years allows them to mature and gives them more time to find themself. How many decisions do you make at 18 have the ever lasting effect like the decision to pose naked does? How many 18 year olds are mature enough to realize how permanent that one decision is?
Just because it's what we've grown up with 18 as the standard and it's the law, doesn't automatically make it right. People grew up with slavery as the norm and it was legal at one time, but that didn't make it right.
