The worst after AIDS is Hep C because it is incurable and potentially fatal--it attacks the liver. Fortunately it is rare and hard to catch, even through sexual contact.
The next worst, in my opinion, are those which are not fatal but are incurable: herpes and HPV (genital warts)
Then there are a host of unpleasent things which are mostly treatable with basic antibiotics, so they can be quite unpleasent, but only until you get your ass to a doctor and get it dealt with. If left untreated for an extended period of time, however, some of them can become quite serious and have permanent effects, such as making you sterile or causing lifelong pain.
