Thank you to the few that replied. I'm back home now. Again, I'm not the one that had their entire apt go up in flames... that was directly downstairs. I just got smoke damage..... screw it, I have ins. The cat is still missing. To answer your questions: There was an elderly lady next door that inhaled too much smoke and coded on the scene and was taken via ambulance away--I was told she did not make it, but I don't know, the dogs are definately gone and everything in our entire building smells disgusting. The Fireman ran up and saved a baby and the Mother took them to a hospital to get him checked out and are keeping him away from here because the levels are still here, but if you have a place to stay other than the place the fire started, that is obviously where you should be. (Especially with an infant). As for my dumbass, I just inhaled a bit too much arguing with the guy about going to get my pet out, but all I did was throw up into a bush about 10-15 times. (I have to think that was more stress related).
The police did go up to my place to try and find the cat after they opened all the doors, so that was a nice gesture, but she isn't home yet.
The guy that owned the apt just came knocking on everyones door to see if the we were all okay. He's put togther way better than I would be!
GOD BLESS the neighbor that called before all of the units went up in flames. I was talking to everyone lastnight and we all smelled something off, but just thought somebody was burning something on the grilll near the lake.
I offered the couple that lost everything anything they need... They did not have insurance. I am hoping the red cross will help as well as considered buying them a puppy in a few weeks after the trauma hey suffered is further away. Or is that mean?
So fucked up.................. Words can't describe it.
