Rochard, it is only a question of scale... otherwise it is the same thing. For a true gun lover, the standard answer is "if they didn't have a gun, they would use a knife, or a baseball bat, or a tennis racket, or even their bare hands to kill".
On that logic alone, personal nuclear devices aren't any different from a gun either.
