Sure, we've got problems here. Sure, there's plenty of violence. Sure, we confuse blind nationalism for patriotism sometimes, but we do mean well, even if we wield our formidable power clumsily and carelessly from time to time.
When you speak of 'all the violence' though, put it in the context of the size of the country and its population.
There are 300,000,000 people here, third most in the world, so of course we're going to have more homicidal maniacs running around.
Wonder what the stats are on persons to acts of violent crime in the U.S. Anyone know?
