The new codec ended up in the garbage. The video card requirements were too high for the normal surfer (overlay support). We decided to stick to good old windows media services for the streaming format, quicktime, mpeg, and wmv. So instead of a new codec, we are encoding the downloadable movies at 500k/s and leaving the streaming at 300k. 500k is good quality compared to most reality video sites.
