Well in many states the age of consent is 16. Why do you think on "To Catch A Predator" they have the girls to pretend to be 13 or 14 instead of 16 or 17? I don't care if the guy is 50, if he's charged with fucking a 17 year old that's a few weeks away from 18 and can guarantee you he'd never be convicted of statutory rape or anything else. Even if she just turned 17 and she's "hot" and the jury has at least 4 male members I can say acquittal or hung jury odds are 90% or higher.
