All that matters is money was paid ($350) and you "apparently" agreed to deliver a product. The client is possibly an ass, but you are responding no better and no doubts whatsoever, a court will rule against you - and possibly award damages.
For $350 it's hardly worth the time spent talking about it.

Well had a contract been used here, there would have been no question as to delivery date, the problem wouldn't have gotten this far.
Madrox - Now, if this guy threatened you or your family, you should call the cops, but you still owe him the $350
pay up, don't be a douche - you had no problems spending his money. Its the right thing to do imo
