No, the point is criminals get guns and you can't stop them from doing so.

* a retail store or pawnshop for about 12%
* family, friends, a street buy, or an illegal source for 80%
Of course, your response will be "they got those guys because they're so easy to get"
A study in 2003 by Gary Mauser, Professor at Simon Fraser University in Canada found that restrictive firearm legislation has failed to reduce gun violence in Australia, Canada, or Great Britain.
Why? Because - when guns are outlawed only outlaws have guns.
