Seeing this stuff makes me wonder how come people look at me like I'm insane when I say the Internet and Television will be a shared medium completely by the time our kids are grown up. All this stuff is doing is making it so you basically do TV/Broadcast quality stuff on a browser. Interactive TV will be the Net at some point.
And I agree with AMP although with the caveat that a plug in will have to offer something significantly new that can't be copied by Flash quickly enough or it won't gain enough steam. Flash had no one with a pre-existing install base to compete against when they came up. Anything else now has to deal with Flash scrambling to catch up and then leverage it's install base against them.
