Agree with you Michaelious.. it's just a totally different culture which will have both good and bad element from our western eyes.
What is surprising.. tho maybe not... is the apparent interest in this from US media.
US media never gave a shit about the internal workings of Middle East countries - but now CNN is currently having a "piece" about it. Duh? Wonder why??
If there is that much interest or concern over the plight of the people in Iraq, why don't they trail after the average Iraqi family and show the problems and obstacle courses they have to face each day as a result of the "war"??
Why don't they do a "follow up" and visit the hospitals and see how victims are? Why don't they ask children why they cannot go to schools? Why don't they ask the Iraqi government why they put bullets in the heads of people and leave them at roadsides?
Tho more than sad, the killing by a mob is a grain of sand in comparison to the daily killings in Iraq - why single out one? The same type of killings happened not long ago in the US with lynch mobs - it's not exactly a new phenomena.
