He knew he didn't own it! He knew he hadn't paid into it at any time.
He felt it was free and didn't double check. The fact he didn't do time or get a permanent record is enough.
This law and it's interpretation and similar laws have been
on the books for decades.
Goes way back to the days when people had cablevision in apartment
buildings and people would splice into it.
Bottom line is this wi fi thing is bigger than all of us and
there are even claims it's harmful to our health. It's been
rushed in and even the millions of miles of unused fiber optic cables
are still waiting to be used.
It's a quagmire and unsecured network use shouldn't be a crime
unless the circumstances call for it.
