And if you hate it so much you don't have to deal with us Americans if it bothers you so. Funny how Americans have had no problem dealing with it for 231 years.
Also America is slowly converting to metric. some examples.
2 LITER bottles for sodas have been the norm for 20 years now. As a kid we used to buy soda in QUART bottles for larger size bottles. In the last few years 1 littler and half litter bottles have been becoming more the norm. Most 12/24 packs of bottled water come 1/2 liter sizes. 5-10 years ago you would have found 16 oz bottles only.
Wine and hard liquor in the US have been sold in containers labled in either liters or milliters for over 25 years.
Cars sold in the US have both MPH and KPH on their speedometers. In many places speed limits and milage signs are listed in both miles and kilometers.
In 2001 the US stock exchanges switch from fractional listing of stocks to decimal.
Also NASA has decided to use metric units for all operations on the lunar surface when it returns to the Moon
By the way I do not believe the UK is fully metric. Hell they don't even use the Euro so why all the US bashing?
