I agree and this is why I have a Mac desktop. Especially for music.
But, when I had to buy a laptop last July, I bought a Sony Vaio because I was concerned that if I ran into networking issues at hotels (I travel a lot), the IT guys at hotels wouldn't know the first thing about helping. I know Macs are generally easier but . . . as it turned out, I did have a slew of networking issues, getting connecting via ethernet at my Jakarta hotel and another problem getting wireless at my Bangkok hotel. It took the IT guys a while to figure it out, so I wonder if it ever would have been resolved on a Mac--or maybe never had a problem in the first place. Who knows?
So now I have my iMac desktop and Vaio laptop for travel.
I am also worried that MacBook Pro would be fussy and not very durable for travel. I don't know whether those concerns are justified or not.
But . . . I do look forward to the day when a MacBook Pro will be the only machine I need. That would be pimpin'.
