My father died when I was a baby, and my step father was from Europe and had no interest in American sports. I was a basketball star when I was in high school, and also did baseball, basketball, and track.
Even though I played sports, I never understood the interest in professional or college sports. I just don't get it.
It's like porn - Would you rather get laid or watch someone else having sex? Granted, maybe they can do it better than you and look better doing it, but watching someone else do something is just plain boring to me.
Baseball sucks. I've been to one professional baseball game in my life and it put me to sleep. I'm not kidding; I feel asleep in the stands.
I've also been to one hockey game. At least that was somewhat interesting.
