pr0,
Good question. Network outages that we have experienced in December attributed to a hacker atttack and we were not aware of it until last minute. During those network outages we had numerous solutions including purchasing of additional hardware (which we thought was the first cause), we later moved to allocate more bandwidth and spread the load.
It later turned out that it was not our interface being attacked, but one of our bandwidth providers. They have withheld this information from us and since then we terminated our relationship.
At that time, we were unable to collect the logs, this time we took necessary precautions. We will obviously pursue those responsible once we analyze all the information.
There are numerous things we are working on implementing but are limited in terms of time, so an immediate full time resolution was not implemented as of yet.
...Nick
