About 10 years ago when I was in my mid 20's I went through a period where I played about 3-4 times a week with some guys I worked with. At the end of the summer I was regularly in the mid 90's for the par 72 18 hole course we went to. One afternoon I was in a zone and could do no wrong. I ended up with a 76 for the day. Best single day of golf I have ever had. The next day, same course, same conditions I got a 102

Since that day the best I ever got was an 89 once and then in the 90's or higher ever since.
I have to say even now when I look back on that day it was a perfect day and it does nothing but bring smiles to my face. I can't explain it or understand why it happened. It was like something out of a movie. The guys wouldn't even stand next me as we waited at a tee and after about 7 holes they stopped talking to me because they didn't want to jinx it. I felt like a pitcher throwing a no hitter. Everyone who has ever golfed and known the frustrations of the game should get one of those days in their life.
