Exitcoin.com Experience

I purchased some traffic from exit coin and would like to share my experience as there has been a lot of good comments on them, I am only posting facts to the data I collected, you will have to decide. Also I would like to reaffirm I was so far satisfied with my experience and still have traffic "banked" with them. I was doing this as a test for an up comming tgp I am building from the ground up. I was unsure who to buy traffic from to start out so I figured I would spend $18 to find out what exitcoin.com would do for me. I setup an adultplatinum.com account to forward the traffic to more or less just to send it somewhere not really caring if it converted, was more interested in the quality of traffic sent. Here is what I used as a testbed for the traffic to track the hits.

I setup up a php script to log the traffic with the following data into mysql the IP address (X_FORWARDED if available), host name, user agent, referer, and of course a time stamp. Then scrub the ip address using a proxy detection script (SEE BELOW) to catch hitbots mind you header information can be spoofed so I included the "unknown" data in my results and then redirect it to adultplatinum.com to hopefully make back $18.

Now, the data collected and stored in mysql would only be inserted if a HTTP request was made ("a hit") and i was not loading any pages just executing a very very tiny php script so unless the request was not sent it would never show. I understand that exit traffic is mainly a popup window and exitcoin.com redirects it from thier server so by the time it is a http request to my server it is possible before the traffic was "redirected" to my server the user might have closed the window and the traffic still would be counted as "sent" by exitcoin.com's system. So I figured a 60% user kill or dropped traffic due to slow connection and all the redirections that the traffic had to endure would be an acceptable rate for exit traffic. I was only expecting about 400 request or hits per 1000 registered sent.

First 2000 of 4000 recored hits by exitcoin.com system sent to my site. Here is the data I received, I would post a link to the mysql dump but I do not feel it would be fair or proper to display ip,host names, and referers of exitcoin.com traffic.

HTTP requests made to my php script: 531
Failed Hostnames Lookups: 13 (possible proxy or spoof?)
Exitcoin.com paypal email domain traffic: 1 (checking on me?)
Hits w/out exitcoin.com/track.php referer: 7.7% (proxy? spoof?)
Duplicate IP addresses: 2
Duplicate IP addresses w/out hostname match: 0
Known ISP cache agents detected: 0
Known Proxy traffic detected (pretty sizeable database): 0

-Post Test-
Port scan of all IP addresses to detect possible proxy, see below: 1 (possible proxy? Port detected on 80)

Ports used in scrub: 1080 8080 8000 3128 8888 23 80 8081 21

Unknow Agents via Manual Scrub: 4 (spoof or proxy?)
Any other suspicious traffic detected via manual scrub: No

Adultplatinum.com Results:
Raw Hits: 392 (was 394 but subtracted 2 for my testing)
Qualified: 12
Converted: 1 (yippie can't believe made my money back and have 2k traffic still)
