Leaving AVN...
Hey folks,
I wanted to let you know that tomorrow (Thursday, 6/21) will be my last day as a staff writer at AVN Online. I've taken a job as associate editor at Specialty Publications. It pays more, there's a lot more responsibility, and it's closer to home--plus it represents a return to consumer-based publishing as opposed to trade-based, and I'm looking forward to once again reaching the "people" as opposed to the business people.
For those of you that I have worked with, it's been great getting to know you and hanging with you at shows. I have enjoyed my time in this industry, but it's time to move on.
The folks at AVN Online have been very gracious about wishing me well, and I hope to continue to contribute to the magazine as a freelancer, so this is not totally "goodbye." As I told them, "I'm not quitting the magazine; I'm just quitting the job." Anyway, hopefully I will still be in touch with many of you and have the opportunity to write about your programs again in the future.
It's been real and it's been fun. Sometimes it was even real fun!
