Fatpad.....why do you care? Who cares. Nothing at all wrong with using freehosts if people want to. They are a great way of getting started affordably.
I run over 40 sites, all different kinds, both adult and mainstream, and yes, I still have a few sites sitting on freehosts. A few have been there for 4 years, and they still make me money. The freehosts I've chosen have SMALL headers and footers, and are fast, reliable, and tgp - friendly.
(smutserver, lightningfree, etc and a few newer ones are all good)
And think about this.... with a paid host, you PAY. With a freehost you STILL pay, but not in dollars but in traffic. SOME of your traffic clicks on the headers, very little of it clicks on the footers.
....so in <i>BOTH</i> scenarios you pay. So why people keep ragging on freehosts is beyond me. If used properly they can be an excellent tool for webmastering.
