See I don't see it that way...I didn't donate anything so I have no vested interest in the sig cause but it was an auction....the fact that it was for a good cause doesn't matter, it was still an auction. When you auction off something then you provide that something for the winner. This auction was for people flying the winners sigs for 30 days, and the winner of this auction just happened to be a company that wasn't fully ready to launch yet.
After winning, the company themselves asked sig donors if they could wait and start the 30 days once they were ready to launch. Some have chosen not to wait and start the 30 days already, others (including ASM) have chosen to wait.
If you go to a charity auction and bid and win a 7 day vacation package, they dont give you an extra 5 days just cause you donated to a good cause. As long as the terms of the auction are fullfilled then that is what is important.
