I can't see this working on a POTS line
the way SS7 is setup it has to the correct numbers
to setup a call and setup up proper Call Detail Record,
I use to work at a long distance carrier facility and there is equipment to test switch trunks and test SS7 line,
and you can fake caller ID,
my coworkers use to make alot of "TEST"calls to friends overseas,,
