1. Not everyone in the US can buy health insurance even if they have the money if they have pre-existing conditions.
2. Not everyone with health insurance gets what they pay for, did you ever read the fine print in an HMO contract?
3. You the tax payer do pay BIG $$$ for uninsured who go to emergency rooms because it the only place they cannot be denied treatment. That is the most expensive treatment you can buy.
4. Socialized may not be the best system but the current system is not good and the programs in Canada or the UK are better than what MOST Americans can afford.
I am glad the upper crust can afford better, don't worry if you earn big bucks but the masses do not.
