As I stated when the PS3 first came out the blu diodes for the blu-ray drives where in short supply. That's not an issue for Sony anymore. The Blu-ray drives were $125 by themselves with MOST of that cost being because of the blue diodes. Those same diodes now only cost Sony $8. Not to mention the drop in cost of other parts. Look for stand alone blu-ray players to drop in price too. Maybe even lower than HD-DVD players.
