army is made to protect civilians.
terror is a shortcut to those exactly.
when a few terrorists have the ability to kill thousands of civilians, what good is an army ?
terror is grown in civilian residents which in it also operates in order to protect itself.
it doesn't matter how strong an army is - as long as it presents a civilized party - it will never bombard civilians enough to destroy all terrorists in it.
in reality no one will nuke anyone unless that one will nuke them first. and it won't happen.
that's why I say the strongest army in the world is that of an Islamic terror group. the fact that I can not associate it with a country (as in "the army of Afghanistan or Iran or whatever") tells you more about how undefeatable it is.
they draft from terror sites on the internet, they use democracy and freedom of speech of other countries to state their point of view, they will hit all YOUR soft spots with no mercy.
the only way to stop them is to kill the poverty from which they strive from, turn their countries to regions that fight ingrowing terror.
their strength come from the fact they have nearly nothing to lose.
just my opinion, I think one day someone will understand my point.
