I believe that in most states, regarding defamation suits, there's a burden on the plaintiff to prove that either the defendant knew the information was false, or the information was conveyed during a period of gross neglect by the defendant.

I'd wish you luck with that one, but I'm sure your "tremendous amount of experience with the Courts" has your back.
